water lily

The Okavango Delta in Botswana is a habitat for a variety of wildlife including hippos, Nile crocodiles, white rhinos, etc. In such a "rough" environment, it was a pleasant surprise for me to have found this lovely flower...
(Since I haven't taken any new photos lately, I am posting some pictures I took ~ two years ago while on a safari trip in southern Africa. Hope you'd enjoy them. These were taken with Canon Rebel XT with 2 kit lenses: 18-55mm & 75-300mm.)

Wow, nice work. I like the water flowing over the surface of the surrounding pads while the lily floats above, soaking up the light. Really good shot.
